Well, in case you read my earlier post about buying another bike, I didn’t. I went to try out the ZR-7S and it had been sold. So call it fate, I will now be driving the Savage on my journey. (I make that statement with a smile on my face….funny how a machine grows on you over a period of time) I’ve ordered a Memphis Shade Windshield (A Memphis Slim with the quick change bracket. I wanted to remove the windshield once I go there) and a Suzuki luggage Rack. I’ve got an appointment to have the bike tuned up, oil changed, and a good once over. Now comes the luggage. Has anyone tried any of the Nelson Rigg products? I’m looking at the RiggPak600 or the Riggpak900. I thought I could then take the roll bag and use it as a backrest. (I looked at the lazyrider and protac but thought I could use one device for both functions) Currently I’m not considering any saddle bags….mainly due to the postings of the tire rubbing. Any other suggestions from you long distance riders? It’s not like I’m pretending to be Ted Simon of Jupiter’s Travels , and going across the world…I just want to be able to enjoy the ride without having to worry about my aches and pains.

Also, Skeeter, if you see this post, can you post the link that you emailed earlier about the Silver Wing. It was a great review.

Thanks once again to all

Oh and my trip is going to be to the Honda Hoot. So if you happen to be there and see a 95 savage….wave. I’ll wave back…promise! (I don’t suppose all of those Honda riders will mind a Savage…do you?)
